A big thanks to my new and old friends at NVSR for the great time at Cedar Lake in Sept, a fine group of folks. Thanks to David Stone allowing me to drive the Pink Panther-#1 Jerry Gamer was a big help in information in understanding how the club worked. Hope to see you all in the spring. Have a nice winter. Les Greenback, TN (This was sent to Jerry Gamer and forwarded to me to put in club news)

This month's profile is the owner/driver of the bright red full body #22 from Newport, Mn Ever since I joined the club there was this one car & driver that I would see at various race tracks but I never knew that his racing experience is older than many of our members. A familiar site at many of our races is that of a 170' land yacht pulling the #22 on an open trailer with many of us wondering where will he ever find a long enough stall to park that, Really, I am just kidding-I don't

About

The NVSR was established in 1999 as a non-profit organization for the purpose of promoting vintage racing and to preserve the history of a by-gone era.

The club was formed with six members. In 2006 we had 57 members. Our growth and popularity has been unbelievable, and our membership and vintage car count is continuing to grow at a rapid pace.

We travel to approximately 19 dirt tracks throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin and Eastern North Dakota, with occasional races with other vintage car organizations. Some of our club members have traveled to Iowa, Nebraska, Florida and Arkansas for special vintage race dates.

Our cars are primarily vintage coupes, roadsters, full bodies and super modifieds. Drivers must be 16-years of age. Some of our drivers started with no experience and some are retired drivers. We’re interested in safe racing and preserving the history of a past era, all while having a good time.

New members are always welcome. Rules and information can be obtained by contacting one of our board members. Talk to any of our members about how to become a member or how to obtain a vintage race car. If you’re interested, check out our Contact Us page for information.
